Samotnia Refuge

Samotnia is one of the oldest mountain lodges in Poland.

Samotnia Refuge is an amazing historical place, located on one of the most popular and most traveled routes in Karkonosze. The first mention of refuge in this area dates back to 1670. Its flourishing is associated with the person of Waldemar Siemaszko who managed the refuge since 1966.

The site is located in the picturesque Mały Staw (Little Pond) basin. It is a tourist facility, crossing the road from the Wang Church to the top of Mount Śnieżka. It is famous for its cozy atmosphere of wooden interiors and homemade cuisine. The distance from the hotel is 8 km.
